Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

With spring often comes the realization that swimsuit weather is quickly approaching, which results in many women falling into the crash diet hype. Now that spring is over, the hype has past, and summer is well upon us, it’s time to start focusing on a different type of healthy… a healthy mind.  Life is full of twists and turns that we cannot always anticipate. These mini bumps in the road can often cause our lives to become cluttered, our minds to become distracted, and bring unwanted stress into our daily lives. By keeping our minds clear and healthy, we will in turn be able to keep our bodies healthy as we are better able to recognize what our we need.

  1. Make a “to do” list and stick to it.
  2. Schedule “you” time (take a warm bath infused with essential oils, read a good book, take a much needed walk by yourself)
  3. Keep a journal where you can write all of your thoughts, worries, and aspirations
  4. Keep the house clean, especially your bedroom.
  5. Splurge and get a massage, a pedicure, a manicure, or all three!
  6. Spend time with your family
  7. Get together with your friends for some “girl time”
  8. Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night if possible
