I’ve recently started working on getting back to my ideal weight, and it’s been really hard. I let myself go for a few months, and put on about ten pounds. While that may not seem like a lot to some, it really is when you can’t fit into anything other than sweatpants.

Putting on weight has given me another side effect I didn’t expect – I feel sluggish all the time! I never feel like working out. My energy levels are so low, and I get frustrated because I don’t have the discipline to get back into working out.

I recently stumbled upon one of the best weight loss and energy supplements, though. Zantrex has been great to help get me going back to the gym. I’ve already lost 2 pounds this week, and that’s given me the motivation to keep going. I’ll post more weight loss results as I make progress – I’m excited with my results so far!

Utah Canyoneering

Along with mountain biking, I found another cool sport that I have quickly grown to love: Utah canyoneering.  I know it sounds like a term I just coined myself, but it’s an actual sport, and one that is rapidly gaining in popularity.

Canyoneering refers to traveling in a canyon by different means of transport including walking, swimming, climbing, etc.  I first got hooked on a trip to the stunning Zion National Park and its infamous slot canyons, the Narrows.  We literally traveled up a stream (actually in the water) through a narrow slot canyon.  It was truly an amazing experience to be able to visit such a beautiful, remote area that can only be accessed by a small river.

Canyoneering is a great workout to keep you in shape.  Often, traveling the canyon just a short distance (four or five miles) can take hours, but it’s worth it!  You get to see beautiful landscapes and tone that bod!

So here’s a great way to stay slim and slender: mountain biking.  It can be anywhere from an intense workout or a leisurely ride through the park.  It enables you to get your heart rate up so you can start to burn calories.  Utah is a great place to do it; enjoy scenic rides in the mountains or trails through the red rocks of southern Utah.  Check out Outdoor Utah for some sweet Utah mountain biking trails.

Goyin Ingredients: Mangosteen

mangosteen

Staying slim isn’t the only thing we have to worry about to live a long and healthy life. I’ve been looking closely at the ingredients of goyin, a new drink that contains a lot of exotic ’superfruits’ and ’superherbs.’ Mangosteen, esteemed as a ’superfruit,’ contains important antioxidants that actually help to prevent cancer and heart disease. If we can avoid those, then we pretty much have already avoided the cause of most American deaths related to disease.

So I guess in addition to eating your fruits and veggies, goyin seems to be a good source of the same benefits.
